Now what’s interesting here is that Sharon and I are both not we’re both in the 35 percent that you see on your screen I’m the one that textbooks were made for because I like to read and then oh I want to go back I saw a couple pages going is really easier that way but most people 2 thirds of the population would like to get their information on video.

Now I’ve had to do this recently we switched our studio around and our our sound box which is below your camera you can’t see it it’s down there which we’ve used for our pod casting forever.

Some of the wires got unplugged and moved around and then I couldn’t remember how to put them back together so I defined just the right video and it took me 7 tries to find the right video that was going to help me set up this particular sound box but most people prefer visual so.

We need to we need to get used to in our businesses using video. On. Them. Having consumers watch videos to make a decision. And I’m in this realm now I know that when when I’m looking at some sort of a buying decision fact that this the most the best one that I can share with you.

Actually that the most important number you know it’s a pop in the chap but we’re not happy Jack is that way about it the most important shot if you look at the the numbers of people that are doing the percentage that are doing videos it’s not that hot there are some people that that shoot tons and tons of video one of the people in one of our clients it’s in this jock I don’t know that Jock has gone a day without shooting a video you know in the last 5 years.

That there’s there’s there’s some time in fact before we start just before we started this we shot 2 different videos there’s a group we’re a networking group brand and they said oh you can put out a welcome video on our on your page on our site Ok well I had to shoot that it took us to Texas we didn’t like 1st one took us to text and then you had a blog that is in draft mode that I wrote in September that it’s time for it to go live but it needed the video so we shot that it took that that whole process took us about 5 or 6 right.

At the the blog video is just under 5 minutes and the you know intro to the platform that went to just about a minute yeah so we’ll start to go in and had the blog on we don’t really need to do that for the other one but I said took 10 sorry but you have to tag it in to the description that sort of thing and consistency yeah you’re going to get in the habit make this make video part of what you do to market you it will pay off for you multiple times over camera shyness What are you speaking like.

Starting that you you worked on it’s definitely more me than him. So the way I got past it is and I’m really not totally past it but I’m certainly so much better than I was if I did a video every single day.

And I did it for a year and you know it just made it easier now one of the things that I did is there’s there’s a tool there’s probably more than one tool but there are tools where you can shoot a video that shows your screen and you’re just in that little box the box probably can move mine was usually in the lower right hand corner.

And so that was helpful because I was really teaching something that I was showing on my screen and I was kind of sort of on screen but I could kind of ignore myself because it was just in that little box there so that was helpful.

But really that’s that’s really the key do a video every single day and you realize it’s really not that important so those are the main reasons if if some of the others if you want to talk about these during our call our question section later we can we can talk about that right so let’s get ready for video you’ve got to know your target market who are you creating the video for well my customers well look let’s get a little more a little more specific.

Because we don’t want to create any marketing message without knowing exactly who are creating for it that’s video that’s writing blogs that’s your social media posts that’s that’s direct mail pieces you send out you’ve got to know who your creating it for you have to have a great picture in your head of who that person is now we go through we’ve done a lot of other videos if you go to our You Tube channel it’s really simple it’s You Tube dot com slash you off creative we’ve done a bunch of videos on how to create your message and if you want more about that we’ll give you a free ticket or boot camp and we teach that in depth but today we’re just going to talk briefly about demographics and 2nd.

So. I think as you’re looking at these 4 women in this example right imagine that these 4 women all need a car right they live in a major metropolitan city they’re not using public transportation they all need a car they probably don’t need a car for the same reasons the probably not looking at the same kinds of cars they’re probably don’t want the same benefits and features in the car so a good car sales person is going to message differently in order to attract these 4 women to buy a car from him or her right so the same thing is true for you then it’s quite possible that these 4 women might benefit from your product or service but they’re going to need a different message they’re going to need a different kind of a video they need a different message within that video to attract them to you right versus Jane Doe next door that claims to be selling the same product or service that you are now what we would recommend to you is that you find a picture of your ideal client it may be an actual client that you currently have have a picture and when you’re creating videos to attract more clients like that person have that on your computer screen so that you’re looking at him or her and creating that message directly for them it is so much more effective and powerful than just you know well everyone named Jane now we we’ve even gone so far we name are our avatars in general we call her Harriet.

Long story made short our 1st avatar was named Harriet. So now we will speak in terms of who are your Harriet’s what or who what are they looking for and there can be a very wide variety in them we have a wide variety.

Cheers So that was theory that last slide was theory Here’s how it works in real life. We want and express Chinese. There was a car a particular car that I mean this was this was like preview it was premium I wanted a 100 prelate cool little car it was and before I went to a chamber of commerce mixer there was a Hyundai dealership next to it and I went and looked at the preludes and I asked the guy so so how much is this one and he gave me a price and before I realized what I was saying I said I’ll take it because he gave me a price that in my head I knew what price I was about to start shopping it and I knew what price I was going for and he beat it by like a couple $100.00 because you’ve seen those ads were it says you know what Only at this price I bought the ad that was the car that was cleaning the ad before the ad even broke and I didn’t even to go shoot pricing is just I’ll take it and oh my gosh I just bought a car wow.

I wanted the car emotionally wanted the car I knew I would look cool and it could go fast I look really cool in this car. And the logic kind of went out and that works now on your screen you see our trades have it if you recognized it right away it as a take off on Lucy from peanuts her psychiatric help 5 cents.

Your probably someone that would get us and we would get you were trading or referral partners because before we built this we sent some mock ups to all of our different Harriet’s and said What do you think what would you think of a trench above us and it was universally Oh that’s so cute oh I so get it so here’s how that we here’s how we take the theory of psychic graphics and we bring it into the real world.

When someone is walking past our booth and oh that’s so cute or words affect we know oh that might be Harriet So Harriet is going to leave with at least one of our books and sometimes it could be 2 of our books it could be 3 of our books now why do you give away books well instead of just that 8 and a half a mile Evan sheet of paper that talks about you know we all have them here’s why you should hire us we’re giving away great information whether we ever see each other again thanks for coming by our booth here’s a lot of information that’s going to help you because you build your business see that the difference between the sales process marketing is getting people to raise their hand and say yeah I’d like to have a sales discussion and that’s how we use our booth.

In the psych a graphic part of it is they relate to it as an expense of this hope this is making sense if they look at the booth and they kind of don’t get it may think so you want to nickel for me to ask a question we know they’re probably not our Harriet’s which is cool we know we own a promotional product offering we divide tons of stuff with our logos on them and and they’ve had a great experience anyway but we hold on to the books for Harry we’ve created messages that’s the creative now we want you to start thinking of your messages and your videos in terms of sidewalk signs remember walking on the street and saying sidewalks on the idea is to give enough information that they raise their hand and say yeah I want to sales conversation now I’m looking at the list of attendees and I recognize one of one of them a really good friend nice person client.

I know that this person on some of this person’s videos goes kind of long because they want to tell the whole story they figure well if I finally got someone to click on the video and look for information I better give it all to.

The title slides make a huge difference so we popped title slides on to almost all of our videos and it’s made our page look much cleaner and if you look at the screenshot on your right you’ll get an idea of what I mean so when you’re when you’re doing a video you want to have a compelling title that’s going to work for the search engine optimization example.
