We saw some friends yesterday for lunch it was the 1st time any Yeah and it’s only because they’re there double vaccinated or single vaccinated so I think we can you know we got something set up I have a lunch it was a a really cool throwback but we’re still not there so what we want to do is is go through marketing our businesses and learning a new way to do it because what we are finding on.
In every web in our we go to 0 and clubhouse. Room that we’re sitting in we’re finding that the world is not quite going back yet there’s still a lot of trepidation out there and what really happened was that Charles Darwin’s book lived up to it and when it came to businesses that were the strongest or most intelligent the ones that can adapt most quickly.
Now this isn’t the 1st time this has happened in the for the original Fortune 580 percent of them are out of business and those are really large businesses so we prefer to look at this as an advantage for the small business owners because you can pivot what you’re doing much quicker if you don’t have boards of directors to deal with you’re able to do this on your own now ask a favor could you move that and I’m getting a lot of like was like thank you so much it was just going to do is just like off to the side so we’re going to talk a little bit about targeting your marketing message because social media is is a marketing tactic and in every marketing tactic if we’re not creating the right message you know the right people it doesn’t matter how good we are or how often we’re using or any.
You know if I said to Dick I sent a new direct mail email to my list every day well if the message isn’t right are the people on your list are right so we want to talk about that at the top we do a little bit of that and beginning in every weather arc so that we’re all in the same page as far as how we’re creating them.
You see we’re going to we’re going to talk about a lot of different ways to get better social media your next steps and we’re going to give you some free stuff to back some of the free stuff up top Here’s what today is about we have shared I have done over 100 webinars in the last year compare that to 29 teams it was 2.
And we’ve been on an awful lot of them here’s what this isn’t about. You’re not going to get to the end it’s not going to say you’re not going to think oh wow great so all that works only if I hire him now that in the housework everything we’re going to we’re going to teach you and show you that you can do without us we’re going to give you some free time to tell if you like it because we can help you get there faster by you can certainly do it on your own by the way Glendale isn’t he he’s our official magician he isn’t hanging off a cliff he’s actually lying flat and it’s all in the perception and where you put the camera as with most things.

Now she threw in the hash tag creation and such but. That seems to be a normal thing that I see so that’s not what it is. And under right side you can see an interview by James Mellon check who is a.b.c. Secret Millionaire and Kevin Harrington who was the original shark on charting and in fact that a new one that needs to go on that slide we’re just interviewed on Forbes right Elise radio shows and those things do get posted on our social media.
Right good lately. And we’re teaching it and you’ll see this today we teach it’s a steady stream of small adjustments not necessarily huge or Josh adjustment but a lot of ones that make you popular and.
Here’s one of an adjustment we made and you benefit from it. We used to do a podcast we did 243 episodes of it Star worldwide we took a break at the beginning 2020.
5 years what let’s take a couple of months then covered it. And what we found was that a lot of our clients needed to suddenly get on podcasts and we were looking for a way to teach them how to show up on podcasts and the best way the way we figured out was to do a video of House Call the market we changed our so the marketing checklist you cast.
We only interview people now you know we don’t talk about our own marketing stuff it’s all interviews we have a dozen questions designed to make you look good if you’d like to be on it the information is on your screen we very much invite you how to be on if you’ve never been on anyone’s pod cast and you want to see the process.
This will teach you how to do it and it’ll make you look good and you’ll have a digital asset created that you can share over and over and over again on your social media pages and say hey I was interviewed check me out and it’s great for your prospects as well here’s here’s the key to it in fact if you’re if you’re going on podcast This is really key.
The people that are running upon their own podcasts they want to put on and entertaining informational show. If it’s a conversation it sounds much better to their listeners so we teach since our part you cast is only 7 minutes 21 seconds of a dozen questions where teaching you and showing you how to make your answers brief enough but get your point across so we invite you to do that and again it’s it’s free we love to have you on it.

Don’t don’t put them on the shelf and say I’ll deal with this next week next month Joe that now there’s going to be a few things that you to pick up today say that would make an instant difference those put a star by those and that’s what’s really important and dammit together.
We don’t post anything on our social media that isn’t talking to the right person and that and not everyone is your client on your own and are going and being able to narrow that down it’s really important we call you call you are our avatar or all of our avatars generically we call them Harriet.
Because we hate using the word avatars and we’re going to talk about your I was hearts many times that radical of Harriet and it reminds you to actually have a picture in your head of who your avatar who you’re Harriet is really named them and craft those messages with that ideal client in mind what really have a picture of them on your screen as you’re crafting those social media messages.
So in in our case one of our Harriet’s in fact the very 1st one. Was from a previous company and we still own a promotional product company but this was the very 1st out of heart in fact the person in the lower right hand corner is when the people we had lunch with yesterday.
I had met this person 8 times in my career average 45 to 60 years old married to an outfit see there are a lot of demographics that describe the person her job is that she’s the right hand person the man that owns the company always been a man if a woman on the company that the the construct films apart for some reason but these the demographics it describes Now it’s important to know this because when you’re.
When somebody is commenting on your social media when you’re in a zoom or being able to instantly figure out oh that somebody I want to 0 in on is important and and also share when when they want to tell somebody who it is who their target market is right if I go on a discovery call with you you know we’ve been on Linked In and now we’re just you know sketch know each other a little better and I say Who’s your ideal client you said well anyone it’s financial services Ok well I can’t recognize who that is if I’m an as you call or when I’m in a networking meeting so if you can describe that person to me much like Cain has described Harriet to you it’s a lot easier for me in a networking situation virtual or in person b. Oh that’s a good person to refer to Christopher Ramone Valerie whichever right so we have 6 of them we have 6 different areas.
And we know it’s rare that anyone only has one but and I think it’s 6 yeah we might be overdoing it a little bit but. We try and group our our potential clients up so that every time we’re postings on social media.
At least one of them is being spoken to several of them we can talk to. I’m the same way but there are a couple that we have to have something very specific because they’re there that niche is really small for us so if you can if you can figure these out if you can group them up what’s that worth to you to be able to narrow down your niche so that every time you’re posting on social media in fact the platforms that you use are correct.
Imagine that these 4 women they they only buy a car they’re probably not looking for the same kind of car they’re probably not looking for the same benefits and features of that car so a good car sales person is going to message each of them differently on social media and probably different social media channels in order to attract them to their viewership and the same thing is true for you it’s possible that these 4 women could all benefit from your product or service but you’re going to need to message each of them differently on your social media channels and again possibly undefined social media channels to attract them to you yet these 4 are are very much on different social media challenge they have platforms.
So we just give you a little bit of of theory and I want to show you how it works in the real world. We want to pander Express actually share and you want and expect I was always in the car and on the back of the of the receipt It’s as if you want to free entree go to our website you know answer a few questions I answered a few questions about our meal the service all of that but this was the last slide there gathering demographic information so that when they market when they advertise that particular store and the chain in general.
They know who their audience is you know here’s what’s awesome about this. They’re gathering this information and for adding one entree probably cost them less than a dollar because it isn’t they’re not adding any any labor because the workforce is in the store the rent is fixed so all they’re doing is adding a free entrée about a dollar or less to our next order so they’re getting us back in the door and they’re getting a lot of great information so that in this case and their marketing the Cottonwood Arizona store.
They can gather information they say you know what our age in that area you know skews 50 and older compared to 40 and under so we want to put 15 older in the ads for that store there’s a lot you can do with with demographic information as you grab it now we have a chart that would help you do that if you would like it you know I address is right there and in the on the slide let us know you like the demographic and phone and we’ll send that to you so you can start to break this stuff up if you want some help and and breaking it down we do have a service for you know you charge $97.00 where it will evaluate what you’ve got and you get to be our mastermind for 3 months but if you just want it for free send us an e-mail was sent to.
The other half of that equation is even more important what’s going in their mind what are their what are their hopes dreams desires what pain are you taking away from them because people will run away from pain faster than the run toward pleasure.
People are buying for you know emotional reasons not logical. Now the actual how this works in real life is pictured on the right side of the screen that’s our trade show but it’s based on Lucy from peanuts her psychiatric help by a sense that.
I had always wanted to do it as a trade shows and we sent some a mock up to all of our different areas and said What do you think it is.
Interesting they they all they were it all came back positive so we were we thought one of 2 things one this is this is just generically fun and anyone that sees the book is you know the business is going to.
Relate to it or maybe it’s a really targeting cool. Top of the funnel as it were for us and that’s what actually happened when we get to put this out in the real world people that get it right away they recognize that it’s Lucy’s psychiatric illness they tend to be one of our area and they don’t leave the booth with went out you know at least one of our books this is our giveaway Trichet because we know when they get back to their office they sort out all of the papers and all you know there’s the promotional product pile there’s the paper pile and the papers tend to get looked at and thrown away this that the worst thing that will ever happen is they put on a show and then there’s our name and our title staring at them forever and the best thing is they get more information and it’s a lot better than a brochure so that’s how this is a real world example of how we use demographics and psychographics to build our business if someone looks at our business and says So you want to nickel to answer marketing question we know they’re not one of our Harriet’s.
So we take their nickel answer the question give them a couple of you know a couple of our promotional products and hope they have a great walk the rest of the trade show so that this is how putting together all of this information and knowing who you are is going to help when you’re when you’re on your platforms now your message on social media doesn’t have to be really long and should not be really long generally speaking and that changeable actually does show up on our social media so it’s not only out in the wild we do actually use it on our social media and it does attract our Harry s. on social media yeah one of one of those brand new clients from last year saw the I put it put a picture up on so and it was on Facebook and the comment was really missing being able to you know being able to do trade shows this year guest you know you won’t have until next year and one of my Facebook friends typed underneath it I’m in love with this so that raised a flag for me to have a private conversation so what to do if ever I want to do some research what you like about it and we had a conversation turned out he was starting a business and that led to him hiring a sous business kept so it was a sidewalk sign.
Sure I’m telling you out on social media and reacting to the comments that came back and a lot of people will post something on social media and they don’t react to the comments when people write them this isn’t this group is the 3 a lot of you guys are are probably doing a lot of this so some of this is reminder and some of it might be new but but reality testing those people that are making comments on all of your platforms is really important truly truly So yes the sidewalk side as he said this is an actual sidewalk so I think we did see this in London 2 summers ago when we were visiting my sister we were excited because we are big bang theory fans it is the ring tone on my phone and so we thought great we’re going to go get a good time with you know when some pounds and then we got to the date realized oh we will be gone by then so bummer.
Does the sidewalk sign gave us just enough information to make us swallow really hard and I really don’t know we’re not actually the right Harriet for that because we won’t be here so we didn’t need to go into the pub and ask a bunch of questions that were going to be helpful which didn’t take up our time we got to be on time for our family gathering we didn’t have to take up time from the public keep he got where she we don’t know we don’t know if he.
Got to go handle people that actually were interested and were ordering and that sort of thing so that’s what you want your social media post to be there there are sidewalks on you want your Harriet to raise their hand and say I would like more information that’s not to put your whole menu on the sidewalk sign is just to get enough information to let them raise their hand and say they’re interested the other side of that is people saying But wait if I don’t give them all the possible information they can decide to come in.
We’ve all been we’ve all met that person at some of them and that tries to talk you into the sale and through the sale and close the sale and you’re the chamber mixer.
We don’t want to dump it all on them we want to begin the relationship social media 1st word social Let’s get to know people a little bit. And we want to serve their needs and get them to know that you are the exact right person.
And if you remember that this is the slide will come up again. We want to remember to put the social and social media you know it’s not just use a generic term social data gathering together and media it’s one way for us to gather in a social place so side the concept of sidewalk signs is really important right so here’s here’s our agenda things we’re going to talk about you don’t need to write this down now we’re going to say you’re going to see the number in the upper left hand corner slides.
And notice that number one is ways to make your website more relevant. The day you off creative theory of social media is that we want to get them off of social media into your website as quickly as possible because when they’re on one of the platforms they there’s another post right there and we could they could be distracted if we give them a sidewalk sign that makes them want to come to our website to get more information then you have a much more captive audience and you can give them more information by coming your website they’ve raised their hand and saying I’d like more information and then on your website they get more and more detailed info So everything we’re going on social media.
Is boomeranging boomeranging almost simmering. Them from the social media pages to our Web site so we can really be in a conversation and and move toward sales so there we go so a few ideas now when they get your website.
They should recognize oh I’m in the right place if your if you know who you’re hairy it is and you start creating it making your Web site friendly and welcoming to those folks that should be there.
That’s going to help a tremendous amount of our content isn’t avail isn’t relevant everybody but it is relevant to our Harriet’s. And know why they’re coming. We all go to a website for one reason we’re tuning into 2 radio station w y i f m it’s what’s in it for me it’s coming your website for a specific reason they’re gathering information they’re looking for something that’s going to make their life easier fun better.
And when they’re searching for it we want to make sure they find you one of the ways to do that is knowing your keywords. In and he words is.
The thing that you’re Harriet’s you’re typing into the Google machine when they don’t know you exist and it used to be an actual word when I read the web was new when there were less Web sites you can actually the key word is now a key for eighty’s even know that term still key word you have hundreds of Web sites go live every hour so.
It does get a little more difficult for people to find us so get your inference get your keywords and write about those keywords all the time and know that you’re solving a problem they will run away from pain faster than the run toward pleasure so if you take away their pain you have a much bigger chance of them wanting to come to you and how you solve that problem.
And the information on your site can be timely respectful there’s a deal we’re having a look out we’re having an event something that’s timely that they you know after act on out 4 times most of the information on our blog is set up to be timeless you could read it you could read that blog watch the video that goes with it now you could have watched it or you know send a video to watch the video read a blog 2 months from now or 2 months ago and it would be helpful.
Or a year from now you know now we have one page on our website for just qubit 1000 and how that helps or doesn’t help people that are in business that’s going to disappear at some point it’s it’s one blog that has a.
Tab sign as it were a tab marker what’s that what’s the word a button damn on the menu I have already other words on the menu that button will disappear at some point in the blog of just remain on our way on our blog but for now we know that a lot of searches are being done for coding so we can put we can do codes we do post our social media that say hey if you are you looking for funding are you know what are your challenges during covert in your business we have some information that links them back to our blog so again we’re putting a sidewalk side of social media brings them back to your website and when it comes to content as long as it needs to be or a short.
If it’s a blog we recommend it be at least $400.00 to $600.00 words long because Google says it used to be $3.00 to $500.00 events under $300.00 that that’s really just a long post on social media it doesn’t bear with the search engines long recognize it as a blog it’s too short and when you’re blogging remember.
It’s the $8020.00 rule of 80 percent your business comes from 20 percent of your clients and each one of our Harriet’s makes up one of those chunks so you want to write for Harriet’s and not for those folks that aren’t.
Numbered The 2nd thing on our list we’ll talk about testimonials it’s one of the best things to post I actually just shared with me is testimonial this morning so cool in prep for this yes.
You want to add. A testimonial is a fabulous way to be able to just just share what your clients are thinking of you and you don’t just share those testimonials once right I think good testimonial you can keep sharing there’s no reason Facebook was nice enough to remind us that 2 years ago the i gave us a great testimonial after leaving one of our 2 camps so I we shared it when I saw it this morning thank you Facebook thank you Lydia.
I was in a clubhouse room that meets every every morning at 7 am Pacific and everyone you get a minute to talk about who you are what you do and what’s a good referral and this morning for the 1st time I mentioned.
You know there are also other coaches around and people who do you know marketing stuff. But here’s some social proof there’s over 100 video testimonials on our website so I invited people to go to our website to check them out again the the sidewalk sign was verbal because clubhouse is all verbal And so if you’re looking for a coach there’s $100.00 testimonials go check it out and I also mention at the same time you know a money back guarantee that we offer so I put out $2.00 sidewalk signs in one.
In one post as or one speech 162nd on clubhouse. And using testimonials and social proof. You need to be listening for clients and say you did a really great job and York your comment to them and I think we have it memorized this I appreciate your kind words Hey can I ask a huge favor Can you put that on video for me so I can help other people just like you you know a few seconds would do it and most people will go 30 to 60 seconds and they’ll say how awesome you are the key part of that is in the words and capitalize capital just like you.
People want to tell people just like them so this is your basic script for when somebody says you did something great to get those video testimonials. Which platform is right this is brand new information.
One of the one of the. Companies that makes it easy to play on social media puts this out every year it’s a $299.00 page report on the state of social media we were hit so you don’t have to.
And interesting we looked at the numbers nationally for Instagram they’ve changed in the last couple of years we the percentage. It was closer to $5050.00 now it’s more male dominated we know I noticed that as I was updating our slides and also Twitter has very much lean toward the male gender Pinterest still that story right up the number went up from like 74 to 77 percent in the last 2 years so.
If you’re depending on that 1st demographic gender 2nd Jemma graphic h. and you could work. I work with women 30 to 55 years old on career transitioning Well let’s I would say that out the 324545255 because there are different parts of their you know.
I would split it out they’re looking for different things in their career. And you maybe end up being on different platforms you may put different pictures of people up but that’s the those that the cool ones now there isn’t in here and I think we’ll talk about it.
You know it’s not on this and give just a minute about a line of all because that’s a really great platform. Show many many of our clients are familiar and we’re going to assume that you are too with Linked In right Linked In is a professional’s database Yes we used to think of it as a job board if that’s the way it started right but now it is really a professional’s database you could find the head of Coca-Cola on the c.e.o. on Linked In and by the way he or she I have actually are the No 2 so you are probably monitoring their own Linked In profile not the company page with the profile where is the probably staffing out the other profiles but not like that the difference between Linked In and a line of oil is a line of bull is only small business so if you are a small business which since you’re here from school or we are making an assumption that you are a small business owner then you probably want to invest more time on a line of bull than on Linked In You won’t find the head of Coca-Cola on a line of bull because I said align a bullish focus on the small business owner Linked In as you can see 727600000 professionals a line will only have 6000000 so 6000000 may sound like a really big number but in relation to the other platforms not so much so it’s still easy to be a big fish in a small pond online a bill did start groups recently just like Linked In and Facebook have groups.
So it’s easier to get your hairiest attention we would still recommend that you check out the groups that are the exist find those groups where your Harry is congregating right not if you’re an insurance broker we probably would wouldn’t recommend that you go to the insurance group there is one if you’re looking for continuing education and some other professionals have bounce ideas off as the by all means join the insurance group but if you’re looking for your next insurance client and you want to go to those groups where your harried is congregating not the insurance.
All right or so you’re on a little bit about you 2 this is. One of the best platforms to be on and remember that You Tube is owned by Google so they are searching you too for when you’re Harry a type something in.
Google or siege search and You Tube to see if you if the keywords match. We have videos for our. Research surely every one of our blogs because 2 thirds of your audience would rather learn from video compared to just reading about it.
That doesn’t mean your blog should only be video you should you know I tend to write mine and then shoot the video that goes with that I think you tend to shoot a video and then write about no no no you’re doing your act right and I like to write the script so to speak and I I’ve done I’ve done both ways the end user can tell that it’s now.
If we have a 1000 word. Blog our videos still be a few minutes and we use our videos as a way of getting people to want you know raise their hand and want more information.
Video if you when you if you look at our You Tube channel or a simple youtube dot com slash you are created. You’ll see that all of our videos that are on there was some or a few minutes and they are designed if you do your right to get them to either want more information more media event or more written information or to get to a success call it.
Something we have started doing a couple months ago. All of our videos now have a title slide. We’ve got 6 or 7 different. Standard slide titles you know for example Sharon is doing a video without me there’s a picture of her and not us.
Same for me if I’m doing one without her and the rest of them are pictures of us that have the same kind of a mock up and then we just have a title.
If you look at our You Tube channel for and then start scrolling down we’ve. Put titles slides on like the last 100 videos or so but if you scroll keep scrolling down you’ll see the difference between what a youtube channel looks like without them and then with.
And we’re finding that our views are going up now that our channel our channel it just looks better because all of the videos have a time aside it looks like Ok this day there is an organizational function to the channel.
And the last 6 months our numbers have gone up a lot as far as we use. So I was going to share something else I want to show when you’re designing your You Tube channel.
The the Neuro-Linguistic Programming part of it the conversation that you’re having with your Harriet’s subconscious. When somebody comes to your You Tube channel and your website we want them to instantly say to themselves oh I’m in the right place it we’ve all gone to websites we typed in a in a bar we had it and when the Web site pops up they also Yeah their advice this is what I was looking for that’s the conversation we want them to have when they go to your You Tube channel Oh yeah I’m in the right place because a stick around longer.
So remember you’re having that conversations and making your You Tube channel instantly recognizable as your brand you know the same as as your website. Will help keep people on your channel.
Having more videos also helps So if you’re in the just starting realm you know 4 or 5 videos. Start adding more and start asking people to subscribe to your channel that helps as well and I think there was one other there yeah you know I’m not going to play this is having having more testimonials is good Here’s one good we got from James Mellon check those and you see Secret Millionaire.
Video testimonials on our. Gold Standard them are more powerful than written right does anyone write your Harry can look at the ones you’ve written and go well they wrote about how why I know that Mary see Brokeback but I video right they don’t expect a small business owners to hire a bunch of actors right we don’t have a 100 video testimonies going hired a bunch of actors there are those are actual clients and boot camp attendees that have thanked us for what they’ve learned and you can share those once twice 3 times you can share the moment of absolute over them and you should you know.
Google Google Google and you know even Google me has gotten better Yeah I didn’t that’s a that’s a change it is a change I’ve now had. A few.

That weren’t technologically complicated I didn’t have to switch browsers I didn’t have to call it you know it actually worked the way supposed to work so they seem to have themselves some of the glitches I still personally prefer zoom but Google meat does work so the difference between a Google meet in a Google Hangout hangouts used to automatically upload your youtube channel Google meets now automatically able to you google drive so you may run out of space on your Google Drive faster is that extra step you have to take in order to yes.
No I mean Tim doesn’t want to go to you to be there so. We shot we shot a video how to start a Google Hangout about 7 different times because they kept changing how to get onto it as it is Google me getting easier that way it is yeah yeah so I mean honestly I haven’t started one because we use this platform and we use oo I don’t need yet another platform.
So we haven’t started my butt to join one that somebody else has set up is far easier and less likely. And I think I think long run. This product will get better because there was no money to throw at it.
Assuming that they’d choose to continue to compete with Zoom I mean they may not right there and there may be another platform after the one to take the move from both windows but for right now.
They are competing if you are a Google suite user meaning that you use g. mail and you use the calendaring then Google makes makes it really easy because they make it it’s a it’s an automatic integration with your calendar you can set up a Google meet right in your calendar you miss done that but it’s an added plugin that you need to to add to Google in order to use zoom instead Whereas Google meat is part of the whole platform because it’s a Google product and remember this is this whole area of social media that the video platforms is kind of in flux.
Before the pandemic it was Sky. And Zoom seemed to take over zoom became a verb. Before it let’s get on you know who’s got me yeah it was a total Scott so in a year less than a year in just a couple months I’m took over.
It happens it’s involving And we don’t know there are a bunch of platforms that are that are trying to take over. For Group meetings there’s one called remote that’s out there and that I don’t think is particularly great yet.
It’s good because. Lives.
Let’s go back 2019. We found in 2019 a a march change. If you want to 18 or 17 it was how many of you have done video and put it on social media and then Facebook came up with Facebook Live it was alright how many of her Facebook Live and it was about a quarter of the room and maybe 5 or 10 percent done once and then.
Facebook started really promoting them. To a point of where lives. Take precedence they’re being shown to more people because for a really important reason all of these platforms are free which means that you and me were the product they’re selling their soul and eyeballs to people are buying apps.
And if we you and me can keep our audiences on the platform longer you and me are worth more to the platform because we’re keeping people on their platforms and they can sell more ads.
On a logical. Alive takes a little more time for somebody to be involved in than just reading about us. Therefore it keeps them on the platform longer which means it’s better for the platform which means the more of those we do the more of our stuff more of our posts they show and I’ve been using the Facebook line of the generic that Linked In doesn’t Instagram them.
All of the platforms except clubhouse yet can’t get video on clubhouse yet and you can do it on reliable. They’re just not there yet Yeah I can see clubhouse and they get doing that because you’re using your i product any way you can pay that’s how that’s how they will monetize it if you want to upgrade your clubhouse and still seeing you can be seen with video as well.
6. Make sure that you practice them if you’ve never done it before but this is the 301 class I’m assuming you’ve probably done them. Space them out not everything has to be live.
Mostly because if you go through somebodies page or their profile seeing video after video after video if you’re if you’re not looking to invest a whole lot of time you want to be entertained so posts in between the videos helps a lot make sure you interviews yourself a couple times.

Our audience got used to the pink and Sharon cross the California bought border Facebook live. Because we started with the same job when you cross the border from Arizona into California there’s a checkpoint almost immediately so you immediately see track you know brake lines which means the joke in California look at the traffic is already here we knew the joke was going to work because they were always stopping cars.
We would get on there and we the whole purpose was a to tell the joke but to let our audience know we’re coming off Angeles this is where we’re speaking this is what it’s going to be about here’s how you get a free ticket because in you know all of our speaking gigs part of our contract is we get a few free tickets that we give to our audience and we also share a couple of marketing tips that would take us from about a mile before the border to about 4 or 5 miles past the border about a 5 minute or so Facebook Live unity star self 2 or 3 times give the marching to let people know we’re going to speak how to get the free ticket.
I didn’t worry about stuttering or if I said the wrong word and I was correcting it like you probably know so you can bet. It was really neat this weekend we did our march small business back to boot camp we’re doing with every corners and we challenge anyone that had been alive to do one I think we got 100 percent of people that hadn’t done a live good one and we shared all of them on our pages.
It’s easier you know that the more of them you do that use your hands and the more on platforms like it. And. When you’re on Facebook in fact when I’m one of you do a life we ask questions people cannot not answer questions you know what dress for breakfast what color your eyes was in every 1st pet.
What was your favorite grade in the high school and you’re answering all those questions because we know it can’t answer a question. You can keep them really short.
Every night you post every night I do a an Ok late night Facebook a question and the question is usually fill in the blank you know orange blank or star blank or you know something or it’s a.
An answer it’s going to take a sentence because I have trained the audience over 9 years and he’s like at least 9 years. Every night the audience my audience is trained that there’s going to be something fun in the evening and they can come back with that question and they can be part of the conversation that’s going on in the community that revolves around you know my my person profile.
Have a call to action in your business because everyone if you go to you last create a Facebook page or any of our social media pages right this says Facebook to really it’s just go on every platform all of our posts usually I mean there’s always a call to action it’s usually free or free 30 minutes consultation go to you know how to get there faster dot com or or free marketing consultation I’ll.
Get your audience used to that link that is going to bring them back to your website. And I know I don’t have to say this here but if you’re not trying to get people on your Web site there’s no real use reason to use social media for business just you know used to catch up with friends.
And that. Here’s something that’s really important and this just happened. Number 5 there says the given the link we need to find other ways of giving them a link because as of a couple of weeks ago and this this is especially true on Facebook and I’m sure the underwear forms and that’s what all of that used to be if you if you watch this webinars from a month ago we said don’t put the link in the Post put it in the comments because the social media platforms haven’t figured out that a link in the comments takes them take all I slap once they have figured it out.

Twitter my favorite. We have a presence there we’re all active. You know I have found unfortunately this is the easiest way to get in trouble. It’s really simple hey like 280 characters.
Let’s go let’s rock n roll. It’s a good having a presence there is important for somebody it’s going to work with others it is really good if you’re sharing a link and you want to bring back to your website it’s awesome for that people love to click links off of Twitter so you know.
When we post to. Facebook it automatically goes to Twitter and you know we have an after does that and so there you go. There are ways to make your tweets easier and better.
The. Twitter is an urgent platform you know it’s going to really make. If you have a month long special See if you can make it a shorter special you know just for Twitter shorter is going to work better interesting way put your discounts and percentages far as instead of a dollar off this is a Twitter thing don’t generalize this is Twitter that’s.
New where if you if you have a new course if you have a new something. This is a great place to promote it is on Twitter the whole peer hashtag.
Uses do you know why and you might already know this but I have tried to the sorting tool it is a way for your posts to get groups with other post to hear us looking for and may not know that you specifically exist.

Linked In your this is I think this is overall want to hear it’s like it is I think you I think you like it more than Facebook some I do I do Linked In one of those probably where I spend more of my time than Facebook Instagram but as I said it’s a professional’s database so if you are looking to do business with other professionals which you probably are because that’s who has the disposable income to invest in your part of the service then.

Although it’s changing but because Instagram now has stories and reels they have for a while so they captured the male attention and and clubhouse as well as I said it’s very direct messages so the main tips really for Instagram if you have don’t already have an instagram profile or even a business page when you get started Instagram is going to send you down a rabbit hole that I would encourage you not to go down a mine mine courage that for you here’s a here’s what we’re going to ask you Do you think you’re going to clean your page or your profile but we’re talking business so I’m going to say page and they are going to dance a oh look at all these people that you should go follow and you’re going to go following them and then they’re going to go out someone who is following me I should go follow them let me go see what they’re about and there’s nothing on your see on your page yet because Instagram doesn’t prompt you to do that 1st which is really really silly because if you go follow Let’s say for example us and then we go look at your page and there’s nothing there I don’t know why to follow you and the chance of me going back and remembering oh right you know last week Christopher followed me and I thought there was nothing there and he’s probably new and so maybe no it’s not going to happen I’m sorry the only way that you’ll get that person’s attention again is if you remember to go back to there’s a new engage with their post you like them you’ve already followed them but.
Now you start liking their post in the middle of make them soon go check those out so given the fat is Instagram a default I will recommend to you instead set up your page when you go to look at Instagram on your phone because it is a phone.
Centric platforms there are other ways that you can use your laptop but it’s not not simple not easy not convenient. Lately on I’m far more interested in in the Graham. You say is the one platform where you can have up to 30 have tried just because you can have them doesn’t mean you should use all 30 on every post we would say don’t do that typically it’s 3 to 5.
You might rotate them from your 30 but 3 to 5 per post make sure they’re relevant to that specific post and when that since I’ve been now following more people on Instagram for a profile I do is look at their you know what they’re posting all at a couple of like some truth to the stuff I think is cool.
You know there’s been a couple profiles it’s like others on here hence your previous yes comments don’t do that and when they comment on your posts make sure your you reply to and this is true for every platform by the way and I didn’t even need to say this before but every platform shows your posts to more people the more engagement there is on your post so if you.
You make a post and I comment on your post and you reply to my comment even if what you say is thank you there are now 2 comments there weighted equally the same there they don’t say oh well he’s just commenting on his own post and therefore we’re not going to count it as much knowledge sequel lives fine so every time someone comments on a post on every single platform you should respond again even if all you say is like you know I there are some of my personal profile that I don’t do that simply caricaturing to more people it was kind of a throwaway then this really matter.
But but most the time I really I certainly at least like or so showed some reaction with them no I’ve actually seen their comments but I don’t always coming back on my personal profile business absolutely absolutely absolutely yes.
We picked up a lot of followers like that I just noticed the number from the s. and oh yeah on Instagram Oh answer you know we had a ball and must apologise Yeah.
Yes yes the video you know these are so much. I don’t use them. At all think. Our our audience. Is there you know our audience yours might be and that’s cool.
This is this is the short attention span banner. Being funny be entertaining is great. I use it mostly to talk to our nephew in England. But.
Most of our clients clients are also not on these so we have not invested time in learning the meat you know we we have the same 247355 that you do and if you don’t have time to do Miles we don’t have time to do them all either so we focus on where are the areas where our referral partners and where our clients Harriet’s because if we have clients where they are they’re very wise on these 2 then we would certainly learn them so we can help them with them but they’re not there either so we haven’t yet taken the time to invest a lot of time into learning that really really well but if you’re if you’re going to be in business for a while.
You know and I’m looking long term 2030 years if you’re in your home. You should start planning there because your clients from 2030 years from now are already there so let’s get them to know who you are what your brand is you don’t have to invest a lot of time on it have a presence and that’s kind of the important part and that’s an understanding as I go to go to this one.
Up until last year the slide was just for Snap Chat and tick tock. It’s kind of taken over from Snap Chat there they’re starting to kick its butt.
So you know the snap chat has way more users. Get to talk a little time to talk is getting a lot more press so the gravity will pull.

To talks going to do that they’re getting way more press so it’s it’s only natural events going to happen the other reason I’m not I’m not a big fan of to talk is a they the viewers want you to be clever and happy and that’s just like your client nearly a direct in those personality I think that’s Which is why Linked In and online of all speak we’re going to see and meet up we do have we do certainly spend quite a bit of time on Meet up as well yet why is meet up in a social media.
Well if things have changed during this cozy time right when we’re not meeting in person and so meetup has encouraged all of us that have meet up groups to continue to use meet up and now meet up virtually instead of many have I mean we there are a few that we are members of that I get you know temporarily a pause or whatever but most of them are so good right now I found a way to encourage people to meet you right come to our web in ours join us on Zoom right lets be continued to meet and have those conversations even though we can’t meet in person I want to give you a ninja tip about using you know.
One of our clients is a lawyer and her practice revolves around parents that have children with particular disabilities. And she goes into me difference doesn’t most of the platforms.
Where those parents that have children that challenge yeah and so will get involved in the conversations so give answers to questions for last couple questions and inevitably somebody asks what you know do the child with this challenge and know why are you here.
Now she says no and she waits for the ask why are you here because a lot of my clients are people just like you remember those 3 words just like you.
Have this challenge and I need to be up to date on what’s going on in the world and she gets the clients that. Meet up is and getting involved in groups in general is a really wonderful way if your strategic and you go to where you work on your Harriet’s or hanging out rather than starting it it’s a great way to gather gather clients.
Ok so we’re talking about social media why are we on radio sions and podcast because you could post on your social media and I’m hanging and then I’m hanging in the clubhouse a lot and it’s almost a direct correlation as people have podcasts are going into clubhouse and promoting your contacts and saying hey I’m looking for guests.
Here’s what’s awesome about being on someone else’s podcast you get to speak to an audience that isn’t yours you know other people are listening they’re not on your list yet wow new people and you people it’s great you know we go on podcasts is as often a somebody will you know say yes then you don’t have to create the cast No you just get to be the guest exactly you can you can start your own it’s not difficult.
You can sell ads or you can in our case when we’re doing our our hour long version we gave ads to our clients you know as it’s kind of a bonus.
What we have found is that if you are doing your own pot Doust. You have to stamp on top of what’s going on in your industry we knew every Tuesday for.
You know Ben how it was going to start in a minute and 32 seconds later we had a startup and it gets you very comfortable in front of the microphone.
To a point where over and over the 5 years you know 243 episodes. We start when we started you would have a stack of paper life you know like there are some articles and things you’re going to talk about and by the time we got to the the end of that run we each had like one sheet of paper with 3 or 4 ball points because we were we’ve got to be very good at the conversation between us our engineer and whoever guest was.
This is a an amazing tool to use to promote you. If you think of social media platforms your posts disappear pretty quickly. They’re better than. We did up some people shows and you can go back find a link from 2 years 3 years 4 years ago and they’re there and when you’re on somebody else’s pockets that’s like a little a little sign from you out on the Internet saying I’m here it’s and cool information.
We would suggest that you have it was to question that and ask if. We haven’t we have a media page on our website and you can’t get there unless you know the media link because that’s what it’s there for as also to those of us as our bio’s has pictures you know questions that could ask us and the answers so if someone wants to interview us they know what they’re getting when they have us come on.
You can take those interviews and you can transcribe them and they become a blog and I was a simple one and you take the audio and you touch it to that blog.
One thing we haven’t done because for us creating content is not not a challenge. There’s probably 40 or 50 of those episodes where we could go back transcribe them and then they would turn into 2 or 3 different books.
Because we talk of topics so getting used to being on podcast or having your own or a combination of both is an amazingly fun and simple way to market what you do so we strongly suggest it and again you want to come on our Come on our living our.
Go to the you cast dot com We read by you it’s a lot of fun. And if you’ve never been on somebody’s house Come on ours you’ll see it’s a great way to learn how to do it so we’ve chatted about clubhouse this is an all audio platform it’s still a beta but there’s a few WW people that are using it.
We started you would think your territory and I do a phone i product size in March. We’re still on the on the learning curve we’re still you know figure out what we want our strategy to be we thought we had won it we’ve changed it.
We going to see you know rooms of a certain size where we know we can get on stage and speak that’s how it works this is. Set up so that there are a lot of rooms and you can start your own room and on virtually whatever topic you want.
You do have to have an i product you have to get information and invitation if you need one we have a whole bunch of invitations that we give so connect with us we can get you want a clubhouse through the through the side doors or the best thing is and I’ll put it in the chat is if you need an invitation and you have an i Phone or i Pad then if the tech status and and remind us that you were on this Web and are in that you would like an invitation to clubhouse it is done through your the number from your i Phone 4 i Pad Yep.
It is it’s an interesting pagers and we’re an interesting platform. Because it’s all audio. We’re finding that. People are just doing other stuff it’s kind of like radio they’re listening to the radio they have you know what used to be down time is now time they can just open a clubhouse and if something’s interesting they can have it if it was a call or radio show you can dial in and get on the radio.
You can raise your hand and be called up on stage to answer your question I’ve been in a city I’ve been in rooms where all of a sudden I came the expert because I just started sharing and and somebody started a room back to the room on coaching.
There were both new coaches in there they started learning about it and I was listening and adding comments and I ended up pretty much running the room for an hour.
And. Now it’s fun it again.
