We’ve got 6 different ones and it doesn’t mean that from time to time someone falls outside the bat. You know that range but we’re way up in the 90 percentile so our clients fall into one of 6 categories you may not have that many might have 2 or 3 but knowing who they are makes makes a huge difference in your business the other half of that of that equation are the psychic graphics.

All relate to this we knew this because before we built it we sent a mock up out to our our entire range of clients and said What do you think of this and they all came back and said it’s that would be a great idea so we weren’t sure if it was universally a fun idea or it was going to work for us and here’s what happened the 1st 3 or 4 times we’ve took it out in the world to people that saw Lucy’s psychiatric help with 5 cents and got it there in our target audience so they leave with one of our books 2 of our books they’re getting all sorts of information because in terms of if you’ve heard the term sales funnel they got attracted by the trade shows and now we want to give them enough information so that as they continue down the phone getting to know us they can make an educated decision if they want coaching those people that see that.
That kind of say so you want to nickel in order Frieda has a remark to question like they don’t get it they don’t grow up with peanuts or they don’t think this to get it universally they’re not in our target audience Ok cool they get that a let it now file I mean sheet of paper that we all pass out trade shows that when people get back to the office they separate into 2 piles promotional products the cool stuff and the stack of papers the stack of papers probably get thrown out promotional products on their desk and then there’s our book what are they going to do with that the worst thing that happens to our book is the best thing that happens to most most of our collateral It could they might not read if it goes on their shelf because or not to throw out a book.

There’s been no relationship built at all. And the 1st word in social media social We are social beings who want to establish some sort of a connection so going right into the sales process like Dollery did here.
Is a sidewalk sign that that she when she went to work she flew right past raising a hand she had like more information. And she went right into sales she may be solving a problem that we don’t even have which What’s the plan and rush you want to be found anywhere that you that you’re solving a problem that your customer because of us perhaps and issue solving a problem that we do have it’s like well we might we’re not going to know about it because we got turned off by the sales process rumor get Amir raise their hand which is giving your permission to go into the sales process that it’s a huge point that.
That a lot of small business owners mess we’re so anxious to get to the sale we forgot to get to the relationship part people buy from those they know love trust that’s really important write that down no love trust marketing raise and sales make sure you take notes on their part.
So let’s let’s start get into it what’s the difference between these 2 rather ancient social media platforms so think of Facebook as like the board backyard barbecue right more casual more of what’s happening in the life not not so much business.
And if you read it when you’re standing around of the backyard barbecue to see all those people whether casual cause some guy comes in in a suit and tie and says oh there I’d like to talk to you about your financial future are you covered for life insurance I think my husband’s company.
Should be off to another day so. If the work you know they did was more like your office water cooler right now is a little more casual than the conference room but it’s still business related So again it isn’t the guy walking in with a suit saying either you want to talk about your financial future or you said for life and you know you’re still social media social is really important I wish I should say the word social Peirce.

Your audience is changing we know that that if you came from Square we know where you are generalization only generationally most we know that you’re in those that most of you are in the darker blue section well done millenniums Yeah a.
If you’re not in the money all area if you’re a little older we would like to let you know that you need to pay attention to money also they are now in their twenty’s thirty’s and the front injured are in their forty’s.

That we are all selling to a lot of different generations and we have to keep in mind that how we connect with different generations is very very different. So in general what platform should they be not here’s here’s linked in compared to some of the other platforms.
You don’t typically most of our clients when they come to us they are befuddled by all of the different social media tell us there’s somebody out there I sort of like want to be on and we would say be on the one where your ideal client is hanging out so if you are.
If you are doing business with professionals which most of you are because that’s typically who has the dollars to invest on your product or service that’s why we’re focusing our intent.
Some of our clients they play on Facebook right they’re more comfortable on Facebook that’s great but if your client isn’t also on Facebook that you’re on the wrong platform so it’s great that you’re comfortable there or we would say it’s not really so much about you it’s really where is your client already on you know now if you want to capture my attention you know it’s Facebook but I have that’s the one I like the most that if you want to capture Sharon’s it’s generally Linked In but we have split out all of the different platforms and.
You know we’re in charge of various ones and I’m more interested You Tube and Facebook and sharing to have a little rest although we’ve because of clubhouse I have recently been playing on Instagram or I have to if I’m going to be connected on clubs and I’ve been also the other one that’s not on this list been spending more time or investing more as I’m on a level the difference between linked in a line the ball is Linked In is is for professionals right so you’ll even find the head of General Motors and Coca-Cola there they have a profile on Linked In They are probably running that profile themselves right staffing it out where some of the other ones they do tend to step up a profile as well as a company page less on a line of all the difference is that it’s for small business owners so you will find the professionals that are heads of those big corporations you only find small business owners if you want to know more about a likable we do other social media related web and ours that talk more about a likable if you go to your marketing and buys or that’s a list or all of our webinars we’re just starting to get our our schedule together for next month so some stats on Linked In it’s more male than female.
And again there are a look at that there are those one else popping up 60 percent are in the 25 to 34. Interesting stats this came from a study that there was dropped in January of this year 40 percent user the Linked In users change a job every 4 years which in the millennial generation is more normal than.
Baby Boomers and Gen x. it’s a they’re changing jobs more often I even think that this is going to be changing especially with the had to make I think you’re going to see this in 2 years you know half of them after the conversations on Linked In increased last year so they got really busy.
And you were also much busier content creation you know their lives were up a lot of people getting on their phone and doing a lot of video. Their content gets seen a lot more often and most Protestants and the posting with images so if you’re using a picture it gets shown to a lot more people.
But that’s more work yet and you have why the algorithms rewards you human beings 2 thirds of us would prefer to learn visually so the algorithms for all of the platforms are set to reward photos and video.
And last the are the ads if you’re gonna run an ad only. You can use 200 targeting characteristics you talked about demographics one of the reasons why knowing your demographics of your audience are important if you’re looking to run ads on Linked In there’s a lot of ways that you can narrow down who sees your ad which means for you the money you invest on ads is better spent because being seen here ad is being seen by more of the right people instead of just the entire audience so make sense you have.

When you’re when when you’re spending money where do you go to to get information a 3rd of the decision makers are looking only dent other words. If they were looking for will just say I don’t know a financial planner it could happen.
They’re looking at the your business page they want to see how they relate to you and how you relate to them so they’re gonna look at your pages and this posting is really important keeping up to date profile is really important which is why we’re going to talk about.

If I close up even more if you’re posting daily you’re telling the platform Hey there I’m investing my time to use your platform to get more business which the algorithm reads hey they’re spending more time to keep people on our platform because the more content that’s interesting that goes on a platform and this is all way across all of them the more time you and I will spend on it which means there’s more time for you nice to see apps so you’re paying by posting more often you’re playing your part they will play their part and they will show your content to more people it’s a very simple mathematical equation and if your if your page is complete you’ll get many states yes that means you don’t you’re not just your profile but your company paid us and for example we see an awful lot of company pages without a cover photo or or like their logo is in there in person once.
Where they created the company page but and never posted anything if I know if you had a retail location but you forgot to clean off the windows before you moved in.
All right let’s talk about the must have these aren’t these aren’t Should these aren’t kind of maybes these are the must out so you read it right and work it’s how fast can you go through it 100 no doubt if you or 3 shillings allegiance to this is how.

So that you can create the company takes so throughout your personal profile you want to use keywords What are those things that your Harriet is typing in the search bar right just this white area up here what is she typing in to find you when she doesn’t know that you specifically exist so keep in mind those keywords is going to come up many times throughout this the next 72 pieces of your profile it’s just like when you go to Google and you’re typing something in the search bar same kind of thing at least in their typing days into the search because as Jane said at the very beginning right this is a database of professionals to a database he has a search function if Cindy Chrisette of people interested in Angela services didn’t have the terms financial planner and all sorts of other terms in her profile then when somebody to have typed in financial planner a financial planner common financial planner named Cindy a true friend is with you know it’s amazing they wouldn’t find her and that would be said to be very sad because they’d be missing and working with sneakers and his like the best.
Never to use your professional name so use that name that you introduce yourself when you are in a new networking situation so if you’re on to me a meeting in person it doesn’t matter how ever you introduce yourself for example thanks given name is Henry.
But he doesn’t understand self that waiter and so his Linked In profile won’t say hungry because if you meet him and he says Hi I’m paying and then you go to tilling dinner you try to find Hank and he’s he’s listeners Henry the computer and the database is confused so use a name that you introduce yourself you know if you know that they’re barbecue or talk about this book for the back your garbage you know they’ve got issues a time lapse of a life insurance my name’s Henry yeah you’ll find me I’m the only Henry on on Facebook so this research for Henry because that’s where I am now.
Just a blur. The only people who call me Henry you’re are I’ve got my name off of the date it was the. Picketing of the opposite of a official names where they’ve known me since high school because that’s about when the word had reached.
But not only you must point out as Henry about it all you never ever. Your guns in multiple places you’re not going to end up and if they use the photo on Linked In is not the only place they should use that one that’s important no so you want to be consistent to make sure that you’re using the same photo on all the social media channels that you’re on and on your Web site later no matter where I go to find you it all looks the same oh yes that is definitely to the right as and right we should start using like Sergio and I’m.

I was just just to at least the state the you’re in and you have to make sure if you’re working in a really small community you do have to choose a community that Linton actually recognizes this is a database and so it needs something you already know so if you are in a really small community that and you type in Linked In doesn’t know if you mean it to go to the next biggest sites so just be mindful that you do need to use the location optimally I’m looking up on his website the startling.
Number 5 brand your professional headline So if you have never been on Linked In and you’re just starting out linked it will say a title but they don’t really mean title I mean they might mean title but it’s not doesn’t really behoove you to use your title So for example most of you your title is owner or co-author or founder c.e.o. Ok that’s not really helpful your ideal client is not typing in the Founder co owner c.e.o. into the search bar to find you right.
I’m going to go back to Cindy just because I have to go Cindy so. Cindy is a financial services advisor right just She’s a financial professional that’s her thing she is also the owner of a company but if I’m looking for a financial services provider I’m not typing into Linked In The owner of financials that’s that’s not the important part it’s the financial services professional so the same thing is true for you your client is not typing in owner code or a founder they want they’re looking for what do you specialize and what is your thing what are those key words right go back to remember one of those key words that your ideal client is typing in to find you when they don’t know that used to sickly exist now tell you the people that do love that you put in owner founder c.e.o. or the telemarketers because they do want the owner founder and c.e.o. because that is who they are those are the decision makers and that’s who they want to sell to so if you want more telemarketing calls and by all means keep that in the so I looked at I was looking at Dennis Web site yes so I want to see your photo Ok 1st of all Deanna this photo awesome I love it it’s beautiful here’s here’s where we can make a small adjustment great smile I love it looks a picture of her with a bunch of students huge smile it’s awesome her her main picture this one had just a a professional photographer will get rid of the shame the shadow behind you and also include your entire head because it is beautiful smile we want to we want to right now in that photo you are a disembodied head and it’s a little odd to figure Harriet to deal with step love this photo to see the question now of you with your you know what about students awesome let’s make that that one change get a more professional head shot and then use that on all of your different social media sites so there you.

When I get on the phone with you and we’re just getting to know each other I typically asked things like tell me a little bit more about who you are what you do in my you do it besides where I could be then you’re going to profile.

At Linked In like it was so i’m just for the use of these because I happen to know so let’s say that you are looking for business owners in your area right so you can say because they your ideal client has not come to this training they probably don’t know not to put in an owner so you could you could put in owner and then whatever your town is as an example and you could then reach out and said the connection request when your son your connection requests always add a note why are you connecting with them I’m new Linked In I’m looking to connect with other professionals in my area I so I found your your profile on Linked In It looks like we might have some common connections I’d like to have a conversation and see if they connect boxes get connected find those those eyes you know clients you can connect with family and friends but they’re not necessarily your ideal clients so that’s it’s great it feels good but you’re here to do business so find your ideal client and reach out to them and craft an appropriate sidewalk sign or site that message that makes them want to say Yes I’d like to be connected to you too that was her and that’s what she is only on one monitor that sort of stuff will work for.
It was really sort of fits because there were 12 strut your stuff so it’s not summery section that’s what they’re talking about in the summer a section on ad those projects maybe you have a web an r. or a slide show or a slide deck that you could add.

Through the endorsements so you might notice if you go to my profile as an example you’ll get a horizontal box that will say. Do you is she good at is no different for different things it could be you know I don’t Linked In changes them so I don’t know what they’re gonna be but it might say Excel marketing human resources a good sale sort of act and you can just click one or you click 9 it’s a fairly easy thing I’ve been indoors for things that I’ve never even met the person I don’t know how they know I’m good at whatever it is they put on.
So it’s linked in likes it because it’s easy but your ideal client might know the difference between endorsement and a recommendation the recommendation is think about it when you when you go to Facebook and you go to a page and you want to recommend them you give them 5 stars you write a little recommendation and your picture shows up the same thing happens on Linked did you can go and recommend someone you write a little blurb and your picture shows up you’ll see the next life those carry for more weight for your ideal client because someone actually invested time to write what they specifically liked about working with you and their picture shows up it’s not just some clicks so they got 14 make yourself contactable number I said in your headline if you still have characters left right your phone number it’s not clickable there but it’s helpful so that if really what I’m going to link to enforce to find your phone number it’s right they are but also put it in your contacts so fill out your contact info including your email and your web address it’ll prompt you for all sorts of a man and your phone number and right there it’s easy to just click on your phone number from my mobile device and call you well because it’s almost Globetrotter terrible question it’s their choice really Yeah Ok now I can make a comment.
Never fill 15 this is the recommendation see how they they wrote this paragraph and their picture shows up so it lends more credibility to that recommendation than just clicking a button for endorsement that they may not even know that who you are and what you do.
16 fully connect with your past so remember the lead in started as a job board and so it was the online resume that all my resume is still helpful you don’t need to list everything unless everything is relevant to what you’re doing right now here’s an example we had a client that was a registered nurse and she wanted to start an assisted living facility but she wanted to start a new profile about the assisted living facility and leave off the registered nurse and we told her Don’t do that because not registered nurse gives you a lot of credibility when you are when we’re now looking at assisted living facilities and we’re thinking about which one do we want we want the one that’s run by the former registered nurse do we want the one where the admin was an admin an assisted living facility and now we’re starting her own right so I’m shooting why do I want to work with you is of Jane Doe next door that chooses to do the same thing is your background you will attract the right people so don’t don’t ignore it on the other hand you don’t need to go so far about what my very 1st job was a good dry is rather ice cream is not relevant to anybody no so we don’t need to go quite that far back if you’re just starting on line didn’t think about your resume typically your resume is 10 years of experience or more recent right we don’t usually need to go back for the 10 years so if you’re just starting to think about you could certainly add before 10 years if it’s relevant but don’t have the drive is going to.
17 join relevant Linked In Groups so often you will see. Recommendations to start a group. We would say no I don’t want to do Not a lot of time as a lot of time it’s a lot of effort and there are a lot of groups on like that I don’t know that you need to be starting your own I would search for groups where your ideal client is already congregating go into those groups be helpful in those groups answer questions in those groups lead them to your company pays lead them back to your profile lead them to your website.
But you don’t need to invest time in creating your own Now if you’re looking and you can’t find one Ok then maybe but it is it is an awful lot of work so I don’t know if I was really best use your time there’s a different example with today they’re there looks like there’s 12000 people named Monica ruin on Linked In Yet you could start a group for just people in Monaco room now here’s why this is the question is why this is a benefit for Monica because she’s a travel agent virtually anyone with her surname could use her as a client to just her travel agent so it is a it is a look see if Cindy started a group or just people in the process then well she’s licensed is just Arizona Yeah yeah just Arizona so they’re not me I’m cynical and if the Arizona and so that’s a much more finite group then if City want to become a travel agent.

I would recreate famous ads and I would have and have pictures of that or I would use virtual I’m going to assume that before you create the actual You’re doing some really wonderful graphics and virtual is right.
I want you to do it You Tube search. Anna Kendrick and what’s the name of the beer is it New Castle New Castle beer. And there are 2 ads one she’s in and there’s another thats a storyboard I want you to watch that and you’ll get an idea of what you she what you could be doing with your miniatures to attract attention Ok.
Yeah it’s a it’s a lot of fun too. And it in the virtual you know the storyboard. It very easily tells would have would tell us the audience how they would have shot it in storyboard form and I think if you used the same at the same Mehsud you could easily tell a director or an ad agency how your product could be used.
